Ana Beatriz

Ana Beatriz was born in a hotel, where her mother held the title of General Manager, the first woman in Portugal in that position. The passion for hospitality, imprinted on her DNA, led her to this exact moment of her life and career – bringing hotels to live.
At the age of 12, she firmly announces that she wants to be a Hotel Manager and, since life often attends to our requests, at age of 16 she got into the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism and graduates with distinction, representing Portugal in several international competitions.
While working as a waitress, Ana Beatriz manages to complete her Hospitality Management Degree at Universidade Lusófona. After that, she was ready for a hands-on experience at Heritage Lisbon Hotels, where she learned the basics of hospitality operation and assisted the General Manager while continuing to deepen her academic knowledge with a graduation Tourism Planning and Development.
At 22, as Assistant Manager for Heritage Lisbon Hotels, Ana Beatriz opens Solar do Castelo, a charming Boutique Hotel in the S. Jorge Castle that in a year, the ARR was the second best in Lisbon, after Ritz, and Heritage Avenida da Liberdade.
As she gives birth to her first child, she faces the “biggest challenge of her life", and this required lifestyle changes. For the next two years, she manages two Wine Tourism Hotels: Quinta de Catralvos and Monte da Charca.
By the age of 29, Heritage Lisbon Hotels board members defied her to return as General Manager. She took the position and continued her knowledge journey as, in her words, "training and vocation are the keys to success". Thus, she decides to take a "Financial & Hospitality Management" specialization course at Cornell University in Itaka, United States of America.
Soon after, she is invited by the Portuguese Tourism Office to be the "Ambassador of Portugal’s Hospitality and Tourism Schools": not only did she gain public recognition, but she also became a role model, inspiring young people through her successful career example.
By the time she turned 31, she gave birth to her second child and decided to change her life again, taking a real mission in hands: the great family patriarch, her grandfather Virgílio, challenges her to manage the family's assets, a building and management company in the Tourism sector, which derived into “Refúgios de Portugal”, focused on the touristic development of the Portuguese countryside houses as: Casa Fonte Sol, in the Arrábida Mountain; Casa de Mendiz, in the Douro region; and Monte da Charca, in Pegões.
2 years after this, the real spiritual and self-knowledge journey has finally begun, crowned by a trip to India. The hospitality consulting has its first chapters.
At 36, Ana Beatriz conquers her independence as Hospitality Consultant and founds AB&C Hospitality, a consulting company specialized in well-being and “new luxury” through which she tries to gather as many people as possible on behalf of the Excellence of Portugal Hospitality.
