Andrew, an 80’s vintage London hotelier, has specialized in hospitality and mixed-use real estate development planning and management for some 30 years, mostly focused in Portugal; project examples include the Ritz Four Seasons, the Vilamoura Hilton and Conrad Algarve.
Andrew is also a board member of the owning company of a 5-star resort – Vale d’Oliveiras in Carvoeiro, Algarve. The resort was originally (2006) conceived as an ‘active senior’ resort, based upon a quarter share fractional product.
PFC and recognizing the ‘Senior Living’ demographic market opportunity, Andrew joined the ProMatura Europe team, bringing his development planning experience and leveraging the ‘state of the art’ bespoke market research program expertise of the 60 strong ProMatura US team of researchers and analysts.
Andrew led the Algarve Senior Living market research survey targeting c. 1,000 respondents undertaken in Q2’21. This ‘first of its kind’ retirement community concept testing research has provided invaluable understanding and insights in to the needs, motives and behaviour of the market.
