Margarida de Ordaz Caldeira is a hospitality specialist who has played a key role in the success of Broadway Malyan for almost a quarter of a century.
She launched the Lisbon studio, Broadway Malyan’s first outside the UK, with current group chairman Stuart Rough in 1996 and subsequently the São Paulo studio in 2010. She is a member of the main board and sits on the Executive Committee in her capacity as Chair of the EMEA Board.
During her time at the practice Margarida has designed high-profile leisure, hospitality and workplace schemes in Iberia, Africa and Latin America. She has a real expertise in and passion for the hospitality sector and was project leader for the refurbishment of the prestigious Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, Avani Lisboa and Tivoli Carvoeiro in Portugal as well as for Trópico Hotel in Luanda and Tivoli Beira in Mozambique. She also led the firm’s award-winning refurbishment of Rossio Station in central Lisbon.
